Why do we sale beagle puppies in Idaho? If you want my own unbiased opinion, it is a great state for a great breed. Idaho is perfect for a energetic beagles, no matter if you live out in the sage brush desert or in the beautiful mountains.
I happen to live in the more desert part of Idaho, and we do not have a shortage of small game that beagles love to chase. Mostly they range from rabbits to yellow-bellied marmot or rock chucks. Beagles live for the chase and Idaho has no shortage on what beagles can chase.
Idaho Weather on Beagles.
The weather in Idaho can be difficult on a beagle, especially around the winter months. Beagles can handle cold, but not extreme cold temperatures.
In the winter time, always keep your beagle warm and dry to help protected them from the cold. As long as a beagle stay dry, they can handle the cold.
However, if you live in a place that get below zero for an extended period of time, shelter is a must. It is the utmost important, to keep them warm, dry and protected from the outside elements.
If this is your first beagle then let me take this opportunity to explain a bit about what to expect from this breed.
Baby beagles are adorable, that goes without saying but they also take a lot of work. If you are willing to put in the time and energy, then you cannot go wrong with a Beagle puppy.
Beagles love to follow their noses. They will spend most of their lives with their nose on the ground zig zag back and forth. If they pick up on a scent then they will take off after it.
Some would call Beagles a hard dog to train, this is due to the fact that they appear to be a very stubborn dog.
In order to get the best out of them, train them in an area with little to no distraction. Always remember to be loving and gentle with them. If you treat them right, they will treat you right and bring a smile to your face for years to come.
