About Vizsla’s

What is a Vizsla? Vizslas, anciently called Hungarian Pointing Vizslas, are thought to have been in existence since the 1300s. In their early existence, they were considered the prized possession of the noble and wealthy. They were bred to be a versatile hunting dog that could hunt all day in the field. Vizslas are known for being affectionate, gentle, and energetic. They have been given them the nickname of the “velcro dog” since they attach to their owners and always want to be with them. Vizsla’s only have a single coat and therefore produce minimal shedding. They have a strong bird drive and are endowed with great noses, which makes them great hunting companions. In modern times, they have become a favorite pet of active people. This is because of their high energy. They make great running and biking partners. We highly recommend that you do your research before committing to this breed. The reason we love Vizsla’s is because of their affection, loyalty, and endearing personalities.
