If you want to purchase a Beagle, below is a step-by-step guide on how my purchasing process operates:
- First: Sign up for the Beagle Alert or follow me on Facebook. People on the alert list or facebook will be notified when puppies are available.
- Second: Wait for an email alert or a post on Facebook. I will usually send out two alerts. The first alert is to notify you when one of my females is expecting puppies. I will send out the second alert once the puppies are born with a date when a deposit can be taken.
- Third: Once the puppies are two weeks of age, I will post pictures of the puppies to jacobsonkennel.com/beagle-puppy-puppy-sale/. I will start accepting deposits at 3 weeks of age. The best way to reach me to make a deposit is through texting, (208) 358-3510.
- Sixth: The Deposit. You have to know which puppy you want in order to make a deposit. I will not take a deposit if you say something like this: “I know I want a female but I do not know which one. Can a make a deposit for a female and then come out and pick at a future date?” The answer is no. I need to know which puppy you want before I will accept a deposit. Once you have made your pick I will expect a deposit at this time. I will send a text that reads, “I understand that the $300 deposit that I am placing down is nonrefundable unless in the case of the death of the puppy.” You will need to text back “I understand.” before we can move on. Once the “I understand” text is received, then you can pay the deposit. You can pay the deposit either through Venmo, PayPal, Money Order or a personal check. If I do not receive your money order or check within a week, your pick will be void and you will be removed from the list. If you use Venmo or PayPal for the deposit, a fee will not be charged for using Venmo or PayPall as long as you pay the remaining balance of the puppy in cash at pickup. However, if you choose to use Venmo or PayPal to pay the remaining balance at pickup then a fee, for the total amount of the puppy, will be added. For Venmo a fee of $24 will be added to the total amount of the puppy. If you use Paypal a fee of $36 will be added to the total amount of the puppy. If you use Venmo or PayPal and I have not received the deposit or heard back from you, within three hours, of the “No refund text.” I will relist the puppy and you will lose your spot. A check or money order can be used to purchase the puppy, if I receive the check or money order a week in advance of the pickup date. I will not accept a check or money order on the pickup date.
- Seven: After the deposit, pictures of the puppies will still be updated weekly. As for the puppies: At three days old, dew claws will be removed. At 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks, the puppies will be dewormed. At 7 weeks, they will be given their shots.
- Eight: Your puppy can go home at 8 weeks old. The rest of the payment is due in full before the puppy can leave the property. Once again if you pay in cash, or sent a check/ money order no fees will be added. If you use Venmo a $24 fee will be added. If you use PayPal a $36 fee will be added. Also our puppy health guarantee will need to be signed at this time. A folder and a two weeks supply of puppy food, will be sent home with your puppy. We do offer shipping if you are interested. I will not promise a puppy to anyone until the puppies are three weeks old and a deposit is received.
